I wanted to get as many opinions as possible, so I had each grade level chairperson speak with their team and give their suggestions to me. These are the ideas that came from those meeting:
- 85% of the teachers wanted to be able to sign up for the same day and time and each week.
- 85% of the teachers want more flexibility in scheduling (not having to schedule a week in advance).
- Move the book drop to the front of the media center so students can easily return books.
- 75% of the teachers wish the students did not have to pass the AR test to be able to return their books.
- 100% of the teachers stated that a larger library was needed.
- Rearrange furniture for optimal space.
- Adding a listening center in the media center would be useful to students and teachers.
- 75% of the teachers thought a better arranged area for student classes was needed.
- 50% of the teachers thought making the guided reading sets more accessible would increase the useage of the sets.
- 100% of the teachers would like to have access to the poster maker machine, and would like to have a working machine.
